About Andrea
Andrea has been practicing and teaching Yoga and Ayurveda for over 24 years, with extensive training in India, New York, and Buenos Aires. She has completed four Yoga teacher trainings: Hatha (500 hour TTC at Swasthya Yoga in Buenos Aires, Argentina), Vinyasa (200 hour TTC at Loom Yoga Studio in Brooklyn NYC), Ashtanga and Ayurveda (2 TTC of 200 hour each at Mandala Yoga Shala in Mysore South India), and Prenatal Yoga (100 hour TTC for certified yoga teachers at Pure Yoga Studio in Manhattan NYC). Her teaching style weaves together Hatha, Vinyasa, and Ashtanga traditions, guided by a trauma-informed approach and a deep understanding of the body–mind connection.
In addition to being a certified yoga teacher, Andrea is a poet, translator in literature, and an Ayurveda life coach with specialized training in trauma work and neuroscience with Dr. Gabor Maté.
Andrea speaks four languages, and has written and published two poem books and two on Ayurveda. These books are available online in Italian, Spanish and English.
Born in Argentina, she now lives and teaches in Italy, where she continues to share her passion for Yoga and Ayurveda as a path of healing, presence, and transformation with the world.

I invite us to work together on making diet and lifestyle changes. The first meeting allows me to get a clearer picture of you and your health background, present state of mind-body and current routines.
We will talk about your Dosha, unveiling Prakriti (constitutional bio-type) and Vikriti (present state of imbalance). This first encounter is important to observe what qualities may be diminished or missing in your present state, while other qualities may be in excess. Through a 90-minute conversation, I will listen to your needs carefully and suggest diet and lifestyle actions to restore balance, health and joy.

In this class we will present the qualities of different carrier and essential oils.
Then, taking into account your Dosha and unique characteristics, we will choose the appropriate ones to create a body oil and face serum. This class will also encourage you to create a healthy beauty routine, leading to radiant skin. When practiced regularly, these ancient techniques and natural remedies unveil the secret beauty in you, and the best part is that you won’t spend money or depend on appointments: you become self-sufficient in the art of everyday Ayurvedic routines.

Yoga for your Bio-Type
According to your Dosha and needs, we will work with traditional Hatha yoga solid foundations, and will add other tools such as somatic work for deep release, trauma-informed exercises to calm the nervous system, meditation, deep relaxation and guided yoga nidra to induce good sleep. Adjusting the practice to the season of the year and weather.
Total beginners are welcome, it’s never too late to start moving and healing!
A regular yoga practice improves concentration, gives you tools to observe yourself, releases unnecessary tension and detoxifies mind and body. I independently wrote and edited this book in 2017. The first part introduces Ayurveda as a philosophy. It is beginner friendly.

This is followed by a recipe section with detailed, vegan, gluten-free, and refined-free recipes, and beautiful pictures and designs specially created for the book.
The book also includes a test to reveal your Ayurvedic biotype, and tips for a healthy lifestyle adapted to modern life.
My desire to share this beautiful philosophy and reach more people is what inspired me to write and publish this book, with the hope of making health and well-being more accessible to everyone.
The book has sold 2,500 in print copies, and is now available in Spanish, English, and Italian.
Secret Beauty
This book is a beauty manual, based on the 3,500-year-old Ayurvedic philosophy. In my book, I use this ancient philosophy and adapt it to our modern times, as well as to the seasonal offerings that our environment has to offer.

My intention with this book is to explore beauty through the lens of Ayurveda: beauty not as something purely external, but as the natural expression of a conscious, balanced, and healthy way of living. Diet, bio-rhythms, Ayurvedic beauty products, rest, emotional healing, our willingness to face and integrate our shadows (and do the therapeutic work required), and our connection to creativity all become essential parts of an authentic ayurvedic beauty practice.
This is all contrary to popular conceptions of beauty which instead values external aesthetics and encourages us to change our outward appearance (cosmetic surgery, makeup, accessories, clothing, etc.), instead of doing the inner work necessary for true beauty. The suggestions in this book are gentle and encourage a coming-back to our natural rhythms which involve daily routines that sustain us, resulting in a deep and natural beauty that is both powerful and perceivable, from the inside out.

Retreat Details
Mysore – Hatha Yoga & Ayurveda Retreat | January 17–31
Join Andrea for a two week immersive retreat in Mysore, India, a deep dive into Yoga, Breathwork, and Ayurvedic wisdom.
Each day begins with morning practice (Ashtanga or Hatha), followed by Pranayama, with afternoons dedicated to philosophy: exploring the Sutras in week one and Ayurveda in week two. The retreat also includes treatments, consultations, purification practices, and curated outings to discover Mysore.
You’ll stay in a traditional retreat home with private rooms and enjoy nourishing vegetarian meals each day.
This is an intimate retreat with limited spaces.
The experience is also part of an exploration by Danena, as we begin to expand our vision and look into hosting retreats during the winter season, creating spaces for practice and connection beyond Sicily.
